Body Of Christ

So many times, without even realizing it, we hang on to prides and prejudices and it not only prevents the body of Christ of growing, it prevents us from receiving a blessing.  Take a close look...here's one of the greatest examples ever of how we're supposed to treat each other.......

Storms

I've finally been able to get a hold of my friends out in middle Mississippi and PRAISE THE LORD, THEY'RE FINE!  Please continue to pray for those that are trying to come to grips with what has happened with these storms.

That Great Worship Experience

So I've been thinking about worship lately...thinking A LOT about it lately.  I can't help but wonder what it will be like to worship on that day when the Lord comes and gets us and takes us home.  I came across a video today on facebook that the first time I watched it, it made me want to cry...the second time it made me smile...both for the same reasons.  Because, #1 - worship too often doesn't look like this and, #2 - one day, it will!  RISE UP!

Same Message, Different Words

How often have we tried to convey a message only for it to fall on deaf ears?

How many times have you tried to make an impact for Christ...only for that impact to go "nowhere"?

Have you ever thought about changing your words?  Not your message, but your words?

To stay "Current" and "Relevant" the message NEVER changes...yet the methods must.

Carrying Someone.....

So our station manager told me this morning a story that their guest pastor shared yesterday at church.  He was preaching on Luke 5, verses 17 - 20...

One day Jesus was teaching, and Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there. They had come from every village of Galilee and from Judea and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was with Jesus to heal the sick.  Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus.

When they could not find a way to do this because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus.

When Jesus saw their faith, he said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven.”

He started the sermon out with a video about a softball player who, while she was in her college senior season still had NEVER had a homerun in her life, finally got one...and it almost ended tragically!  Here's what happens:

Now that you’ve gotten the tissues out….men included…. What is stopping you from helping to carry your fellow man when they need a hand on their journey?
